Flower Farm Inn | Gino’s First Photo Shoot at the Flower Farm—A Truly Beautiful Venue!
In the small town of Loomis, CA, it’s possible that you could drive right by this gorgeous piece of land and not realize what it offers. The Flower Farm Inn is tucked away from the road and has a lovely bed and breakfast that was once a farmhouse, a cozy coffee shop with decadent pastries, gorgeous gardens and an extensive nursery, and a rustic barn that serves as a desirable venue for all types of gatherings.
On July 3, 2010, the gathering at the Flower Farm was a romantic celebration of two lives and two families uniting. The wedding began in the late afternoon and proved to be a unique ceremony that was followed by a fabulous reception that went well into the night.
In addition to the helpful staff at the facility itself, a few vendors played a very important role in executing such a great event….
Ambience Floral provided a vintage wildflower look; the bridal bouquet was composed of soft hues (ivory, white, peach and apricot) in a mixture of tulips, pincushion flowers, ranunculus, stock, garden roses, berries, and soft foliages. The aisle was lined with compact garden-style arrangements and the flowers in the centerpieces were loosely arranged in one-quart mason jars, which further complimented the theme for the day.
“The Flower Farm Inn is one of my favorite venues,” says Katie Edwards, owner of Ambience Floral. “The property is absolutely gorgeous. There are a variety of ceremony locations that are beautiful and the reception space is a wonderful blank palette that offers a beautiful outcome with a wide variety of design styles. The owners, John and Annie Bowler, are lovely people who work hard to make every experience excellent; and the Business Manager, Fran Bowler, has the same commitment to great customer service.”
While the fresh flowers added to the romance of the night, the amazing dinner contributed to the success of the wedding reception. All Seasons All Reasons Fine Catering, owned and operated by Monty Montgomery and Joshua Garcia, created a dual entrée plate that included: Mesquite Fired Beef Medallions with Cognac Forest Mushrooms and a Pink Peppercorn Demi Glace; and Grilled Atlantic Salmon served with Stone Fruit Salsa, Capellini Pomodoro, and Grilled Summer Vegetables.
Following dinner, guests enjoyed choosing from a Petite Dessert Bar, complete with mini pies and cheesecakes, rocky road brownies, and chocolate covered strawberries. Since it was the day before the 4th of July, sparklers did make their way into the décor as well!
“The catering process is always seamless at The Flower Farm,” says Garcia. “Their new, state-of-the-art facilities are always a joy to work in.”
Gino Creglia made sure to photograph each and every moment—the traditional and expected shots but also those moments only witnessed by few. The grounds provided amazing photography options and Gino was able to truly capture the special day in photos taken throughout the 10-acre farm—by the Inn, the pond, the barn, and the orchard field, among others. “The staff was so accommodating in allowing photos to be taken anywhere on the property,” says Creglia. “The property is definitely on the top of my list when it comes to a country style wedding.” Gino is looking forward to photographing many weddings at the The Flower Farm.
Fran Bowler attributes much of the venue’s success to the fact that it is a good blend of charm and class in that the bride, groom, and their guests feel comfortable, but also that they are having their wedding in a unique and special place.
“The Flower Farm realizes that not everyone’s vision for their wedding day is the same,” says Bowler. “We are quite liberal in allowing the bride to choose the professional vendors that she would like to help create the wedding of her vision. While the barn looks great with a minimum of decorations, the ability for brides to bring in their own ideas, colors, and decorations makes the Flower Farm ideal for a bride who is looking for a little room for creativity on her wedding day.”
