David Girard Vineyards | Offers it All – Seclusion, Sunsets, and a European Scene
Located in the Sierra Foothills between Placerville and Coloma, David Girard Vineyards offers brides and grooms a destination wedding without traveling far. It’s not surprising that 85 acres includes a variety of ideal spots to marry. The venue offers three magnificent choices for ceremonies, receptions, and exceptional wedding photography during May-October, and will soon be holding year-round celebrations with a new indoor facility!
A Tuscan Ceremony Site…
is situated on a hilltop and surrounded by oak trees, gardens, and vineyards. There are columns and fountains that complement the area, creating an elegant feel. This space is perfect for ceremonies of up to 250 guests. The site can also accommodate an outdoor reception (adjacent to the ceremony area) on a large lawn with vineyard views.
A Waterfall Venue…
sits above the tasting room and has a lovely outdoor kitchen and a 16 foot waterfall. The site overlooks the pond and vineyards. It is ideal for weddings of up to 200 or receptions of up to 100.
A Private Tent on Top of a Hill…
overlooks the gorgeous hills and vines. This is a spectacular location for romantic sunset views.
According to Judy Collinsworth, Event Manager for the Vineyard, brides and grooms refer to the venue as “a perfect place,” “a dream location,” and “beyond our expectations.”
And guests? “They love the site and often times tell us that they can’t wait to come back,” says Collinsworth.
In order to streamline the event process, the Vineyard provides a dressing room, all the tables and chairs (along with their set-up and break down), a golf cart shuttle to and from the ceremony site, and two event staff members on-site to help behind the scenes of the wedding. The Vineyard also helps with vendor selection and provides a one-hour rehearsal.
