Colleen Riley – Photographer

Colleen was born and raised in Loomis, a small town in northern California. She is the the youngest child and has one brother. While growing up, her mom took a lot of photographs of her two children and her enjoyment of it was contagious.

She first graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in Communication Studies, where her intent was to become a newscaster. She worked for two local news stations but quickly found out it wasn’t the career she wanted. She went back to school at Brooks Institute of Photography to study photojournalism, but unexpectedly fell in love with photographing children and lifestyle. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and hasn’t looked back since.

She loves to travel. She has lived in London, where she studied Music and English. She has traveled to Thailand, Switzerland, and Ireland. Her favorite countries to explore are France, Italy, and Scotland.

Colleen loves 1970′s architecture, drives along the coast, vintage graphic design, music, polaroids, and going to baseball games. Someday she hopes to own an airstream.

And she loves taking pictures.
